New at painting? Interested in expanding your artistic expression? Join us for a fun adventure by adding acrylics to your palette of mediums. In just 8 weeks, you will learn to mix colors, use basic tools and various acrylic mediums and painting supports (canvas, wood, etc.). Create appealing still life compositions and experiment with texture, color, and contrast. Altered Fashion

Transform your favorite sewing pattern into something uniquely you by making a few changes that reflect your own personal style. The focus will be on tops and blouses, with instructions on how to alter a front closure, add fanciful collar and cuffs, lengthen, or add a scallop to the hem. Some sewing skills are helpful. Students should bring pattern, fabric, thread, buttons if required, tape measure, scissors or cutting mat and rotary cutter. Bring sewing machine to second and third classes.

Do you work in a career that brings you in contact with deaf clients/customers? Do you want to enhance your communication with deaf and hard of hearing family, pre-verbal children, friends, and co-workers using ASL? Late-deafened adults are welcome as are motivated and serious high school students building a resume for consideration by colleges or for employment applications. Join Martin Samelson, energetic ASL college professor and job coach for the deaf, as he demonstrates the basics of ASL (manual alphabet, fingerspelling, vocabulary, and sentence structure). Learn how to communicate without voice by the end of your first class. ASL is a visual language and no textbook is required. Handouts will be provided.

Circuit Training - Session I
