This exciting 4-week, research based video and discussion workshop is organized around the parenting skills necessary for instilling cooperation, communication, courage, school success, responsibility and self-esteem in children ages 5 to 12. Parents will learn discipline skills that really work and how to set rules that their children can understand and follow. We will explore parenting styles, the 4 goals of children’s behaviors and discover how the power of encouragement helps children learn positive behavior. Join us for this workshop and see for yourself the difference as you make positive and realistic changes in your family’s daily routine to gain greater happiness at home!
CPR for Non-Professionals

Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training. 100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience.

The understanding Medicare presentation will review the following: *When you are eligible for Medicare benefits *The time-line to enroll for Medicare without penalties *What Original Medicare covers and doesn’t cover *What additional plans are available that work in conjunction with Original Medicare *Briefly go over the financial assistance options The presentation is 40 minutes, with time at the end for a question and answer session for any additional questions you may have.
