Natural Brass Embossed Jewelry

with Art Night Out

Calendar Mar 12, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Create interesting embossed jewelry that gets noticed! Using the Vintaj metal texturizing system, you will impress patterns on pre-patinaed natural brass shapes and reveal interesting contrast with sanding blocks and sand paper. You will then experiment with metal patina inks, allowing you to add gorgeous, layered color. Finally, you will combine your textured metal with chain and beads to create whimsical, modern jewelry. Workshop fee includes all materials needed to make one embossed pendant with brass chain.  Due to instructor availability, if this class is postponed due a weather-related event, the class will be made up on March 26th, same time and place.

Resin Jewelry

with Art Night Out

Calendar Feb 12, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Create high quality jewelry using beautiful patterned paper and resin. Begin by designing a small collage in an attractive silver bezel, adding ice resin over the top of the decorative papers to create a jewel-like finish. This process is magical – you can even customize your pendant with small laser copies of your own photos or other memorabilia. NOTE: If using your own images, ONLY laser copies will work in these collages. Sizes of pendants vary from 1.5 cm x 4 cm to 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm. Workshop fee includes all materials needed to make one pendant.

with Zoe Mullen

Calendar Feb 7, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 4 weeks

Have you ever bought a sketchbook, only to end up afraid to start the first page? Or do you rip out a page and crumple it when you are dissatisfied with something you created? It is time to learn to step away from expectations and to begin creating freely. All creative rules are cast aside as you go on a journey with your sketchbook and create from the heart. No experience necessary. Please bring a sketchbook with 100 lb. paper or higher, pencils, eraser, and any art supplies with which you'd like to experiment.
