FREE Introduction to Reiki
with Mary Maverick
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. It is a gentle method of hands-on healing that taps into the energy referred to as ki in Japan, chi in China, and prana in India. The practice of Reiki is based on the teachings of Mikao Usui, who practiced and taught healing techniques in early 20th-century Japan. Reiki is a technique that addresses both chronic and acute conditions, gently and powerfully promoting balance among all the body’s systems and the regenerative processes of body and mind. Treatment may be given by either touching or with hands held a few inches away from the body. In this workshop you will have a chance to ask your questions and sample Reiki energy for yourself.

Introduction To Mindfulness Meditation - Session II
with Walter Briggs
Living intentionally and seeing clearly by watching and learning how the mind works allows us to break unwholesome patterns of behavior, develop equanimity, and cultivate self-compassion and loving kindness. Benefits may include reduced anxiety, improved focus and sleep, and enhanced resilience, among others. You will learn how to establish and maintain a practice, how to work with common difficulties, some history and science, and, of course, how to meditate. Walter is a long-time meditator and is currently finishing a two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.
